Overview

A Tax Increment Financing (TIF) district is a special tax district used to promote development by providing a tool to finance infrastructure improvements in a defined area of the community.

The Town of Milford has allocated 10 tax parcels in western Milford for TIF business development. Of these 10 parcels, the Town of Milford owns 8 parcels totaling 121+/- acres. This 121 +/- acre conglomeration is capable of sustaining 20 - 25 developable lots of 1 to 6 acres each.

The 121+/- parcel is zoned Integrated Commercial Industrial II (ICI-2) which allows wholesale/retail businesses, offices, hotels/motels, distribution facilities, R&D, processing, manufacturing, and other uses.

The location has great visibility on State Route 101 (2,000+ LF) with a traffic count of over 24,000 vehicles per day. Within 30 minutes reside over 280,288 people making the site very attractive for large and small business development.

Already in the corridor are Hitchiner Manufacturing, Hendrix Wire & Cable, Airmar Technologies, Alene Candle Manufacturing, Market Basket, St. Gobain, Hollis Line Machine Company, and several other major employers.
